Microsoft Office Professional Plus Free Download – 10kPCsoft Office Tools – I know which version I want. How do I install it?
For some reason, which I didnt notice at the time, I got the bit version. I called MS and they are making the bit download available to me. However, the customer support person, suggested that I re-think using the 64 bit version. She said that I might not be able to use all the features that I have with the bit version. My system is Windows 7, bit. She suggested I speak with tech support for an explanation, but I was due to go into meeting and couldnt continue call.
What would the differences be between the bit version and bit version? Why would the bit have less features? The 64 bit doesn’t have less features.
What they meant was that most of the 3rd party Office add-ons are not 64 bit, they are 32 bit. Because 64 bit is relatively “new” other software makers have not kept up to speed and do not have 64 bit versions available.
If you install 64 bit, you might find that many things you want to do are controlled by Office add-ons that you are not even aware of. I have seen many in this forum say that they want to remove 64 bit and go to 32 bit after trying it.
